Review: Sqweel
Tuesday, October 5th, 2010The Sqweel by Love Honey is a unique sex toy that is intended to simulate oral sex. It has a wheel of ten tongues that “lap” your clitoris, or whatever body part you choose to use it on. The Sqweel is not a vibrator, but it is one pleasure giving motorized sex toy.
Things you need to know:
Material: The tongues are made from super soft soft silicone. The casing is made from ABS plastic.
Batteries: Requires 3 AAA batteries, not included.
Multispeed: 3 levels that give you just the right variation.
Noise level: A little on the high side. Although not enough to stop me from using it, this is my least favorite aspect of the Sqweel. Loud toys piss me off. Not that anyone likes them, but I have been known to turn my back on a toy after 5 seconds of super loud buzzing. Not the case here, but know this is not a discrete toy.
Clean up: Easy. It can be taken apart so that you can clean the wheel separately.
Storage: It is self contained in that a cap covers the tongues so you can just toss it in a drawer. It does come in a larger tin container that can be used as well.
The Sqweel’s wheel-o-tongues doesn’t necessarily give you the exact feeling of someone going down on you, but it does deliver a pleasure filled non-vibratory sensation. It isn’t a toy for a quick O, but it is perfect for when you want to spend some quality time with yourself or your partner. Applying too much pressure stops the wheel from turning, so it forces you to take your time and not get carried away too quickly. Sustained is the word that comes to mind. It is a bit like being in the area that is just before the crest of a wave.
It’s fun to experiment with different angles and stimulation points when playing with the Sqweel. My favorite was the downward stroke, while I found the upward to be downright irritating. Not painful, but it is sort of like when someone puts too much sugar in my coffee. Too much of a good thing. It’s all about personal preference, but that’s life.
I definitely recommend using plenty of lube with this one so that the flaps glide along your skin rather than slap it. Enough said.
I had a hard time using a dildo at the same time as the Sqweel. It was cumbersome and awkward. I have read other reviews, some stating they had the same issue while other didn’t. I will have to give this another whirl because I think the Sqweel paired with penetration would be a force to be reckoned with. Orgasm? Didn’t happen with this toy, but I’m not sad about it.
I definitely recommend this toy. It isn’t just another vibrator and I like that.
