Tantus Little Secret – Little Kiss

Friday, July 29th, 2011

From Tantus’s line of Little Secrets, the Little Kiss is cute, discrete and bright pink.

This is a small simple bullet vibrator, free of bells and whistles.  It isn’t supposed to twirl, thrust, put on a laser light show or make you a grilled cheese after you orgasm.  If you’re someone who needs all of these things from your sex toy, don’t buy this one!  If you like basic toys that are easy to travel with, won’t break the bank (still built to last), are made from body safe materials, this is ideal for you.Tantus Little Kiss

Here is the basic info:

Vibration intensity: Medium

Noise Factor: Low

Batteries: N-1 (inlcuded)

Length: 3.75 inches

Width: A little over 1 inch

Material: Sleeve – Silicone, Bullet – Hard Plastic

The standard bullet has a pointed tip and an easily removable sleeve.  I preferred using it with the sleeve (like the texture), but you can definitely use it without.  The mid-level vibrations transfer well through the silicone all the way to the thin pointed tip.  A light flickering sensation is created, which is ideal for anyone who likes pinpointed stimulation.  For me, this is fun for warm up, but prefer using the shaft of the bullet when it’s time to get serious.

This isn’t my go-to toy when I’m looking for vibration-only stimulation.  Wand vibrators still remain near and dear to my heart when it comes to that.  I do bust the Little Kiss out whenever I need a vibrating addition to dildo time.  When penetration is involved, the medium buzz that the this Little Secret offers is exactly what I need.

One thing that has frustrated me in the past about egg and bullet vibrators is that they tend to not have much of a shelf life.  Some crack right away or just stop working long before the batteries ever have a chance to die.  The Little Kiss is solid and well made.  The battery cap fits snug and no cracking occurs when applying pressure.  The silicone sleeve is sturdy as well.  I haven’t had any problems when pulling it off or putting it back on.  Lesser sleeves often tear as soon as you pry them off the toy.

If you’re looking for as super powered life changing vibrator, this isn’t for you.  If you’re in the market for a simple and discrete vibrator that will last, you should definitely consider this one.

Review: Icicles No. 15

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

I was super excited to get my hands on one of glass toys from Pipedream’s Icicles line.  I love glass and that is all the reason I really needed to be excited about it.

Vibrating Glass DildoIcicles No. 15 is a glass dildo that comes with a bullet vibrator.  It is 7 inches long and less than 1 inch wide. The dildo itself is essentially a curved beaded stick with a nubbed texture.   On the handle end, it has a loop (that you can insert the bullet into) and and two flared appendages that allow for safe anal play. The color is a clear iridescent amber.  The bullet is powered by a wired remote control and requires 3 AAA batteries that are not included.

No. 15 didn’t have  enough girth for me. That isn’t necessarily the toy’s fault, but I prefer that filled sensation when it comes to penetrative toys. I make exceptions for dildos and vibes that really target the g-spot (i.e. Ella). I was hoping this would be the case, but sadly it wasn’t. It has what appears to be an awesome g-spot curve, but it just didn’t quite give me the stimulation I was looking for. The angle was just too wide. What I did like was the beaded/nubbed texture, which was best observed during long slow thrusts.  The thick beads with their narrow connection stimulated my vaginal opening, while the nubs stimulated my vaginal wall.  It definitely made me want to explore this type of stimulation further.  I need a new word for stimulate.

The plastic bullet vibrator is small and super high powered.  It has 10 different speed/vibration patterns including a few steady vibration settings and a variety of pulsation patterns, each with their own unique personality.  While the bullet packs quite the punch, it is super buzzy and a bit noisy.  Like I said earlier, you can insert the bullet in the loop, but the vibrations don’t transfer that well to the end of the dildo.  No. 15 just isn’t the toy for internal vibration.  I tried to see if it would be useful for clitoral stimulation while inserted in the loop, but it didn’t work out.  Your best bet is to not even bother inserting it into the loop and to just stick the bullet vibrator right on your clit.  This is as long as you like super buzzy vibrations.  However, it does light up and flash according the setting it is on.

Cleaning was easy.  I just washed the dildo in the sink with mild soap and water.  I wiped the bullet down with a soapy cloth.  It isn’t waterproof!  Your water based lube of choice will work just fine.

I didn’t fall in love with Icicles No. 15, but if you like slender dildos and high powered vibrations, you would probably enjoy it.  I imagine it would be a fun anal toy.  It is narrow, but glass doesn’t give, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anal beginners.  I am appreciative that that it has pushed me to further explore that whole vaginal wall/opening stimulation thing.  I rather enjoyed it and am looking forward to playing with more toys that do the same.

Product Review: The Mystic Wand

Friday, October 22nd, 2010

Before giving you the facts, I have to say that The Mystic Wand by Vibratex is AWESOME!  I love it.  I really do.  Since I have such strong feelings for it, this review is filled with personal stuff.

I have always enjoyed vibrators, but I’ve never been the girl that NEEDED vibration to get off.  Pretty much any day of the week I would pick a dildo and my fingers over a vibrator.  I like some vibes more than others and can appreciate a well made toy.  None of them have ever made my eyes sparkle like the Mystic Wand.  It is my first wand vibrator, so perhaps I was just oblivious to the type of vibrator I really needed.

I don’t own the Hitachi, Mystic’s big sister, mostly because I have never been a fan of super high speed vibration.   When I use high vibration toys, they are fun for about 12 seconds, then my vagina goes numb.  I have to spend a good deal of time coaxing the feeling back into her and an even longer time attempting to have an orgasm.  I realize it is my duty as a woman and sex toy-ista to give The Hitachi a test run and one day I will.  I emphasize one day, as there are so many toys ahead of it on my list.  Now that I have justified my feelings towards vibrators, I’ll move this along.

The Facts:Mystic Wand by Vibratex

Material: Silicone and ABS plastic

Length: 8 3/4 inches long

Width (head): 2 1/2 inches

Speed: 3 levels of steady vibration and 3 different patterns.

Powered by: 4 AA batteries

Waterproof: No

Packaging and Storage: Clear box and soft white drawstring storage bag.

The Mystic Wand is lightweight and just the right size.  Unlike the Hitachi it is battery operated so your not plugged into the wall (a rechargeable version exists).  The handle has a velvety texture and the ribbed head feels like your standard silicone.  There is an on/off button and another button dedicated to cycling through the settings.  One light lets you know it’s on while another changes with the the vibe strength.  The head is flexible so it moves with you, but not too flexible so you still get that awesome firm pressure as the intensity builds.

The vibrations, while I have read not as strong as the Hitachi, are are strong.  They spread nicely through the entire head for that all inclusive labia and clitoral stimulation, that I LOVE.  For a powerful toy, the noise level is pretty low.  It isn’t silent by any means, but not annoying.  “But you don’t like super high powered vibes.”  I’m getting to that.

As I stated, I don’t usually get down with super high power.  The Mystic Wand is the exception for me.  It epitomizes the phrase deep vibrations.  The buzz is rich and meaty and down right fantastic.  On low, the vibrations are at the same level as the highest setting of your average massager and climbs as expected from there.  I start there and have taken to moving up to medium as I reach orgasm.  I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy this and am loving the fun new (to me) world of high speed vibration!

I have used this toy quite a few times already and the only problem I have discovered is that I can’t seem to hold back with this one.  The orgasms are just too good.  It isn’t always about getting that O, but the Mystic Wand sure makes it hard not to get there quickly.  Paired with the Aveline, I’d say this thing proves heaven does exist.  I know, gushing reviews can be annoying, but too bad.

Cleaning is pretty easy.  Use a damp soapy cloth or toy cleaner since it is not waterproof.  You will have to spend a little time getting in between the rib crevices, but it’s worth.  Remember, water based lube only with this and all silicone toys!

The Mystic Wand is awesome.  While I am indeed excited about my new discovery, I think anyone would absolutely enjoy this vibrator.

Product Review: Johnny by Vixen Creations

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Johnny from VixenCreations is a thick and meaty lifelike dildo.  This much needed addition to my collection of sweet little sex toys stands big and proud with a veiny shaft, pronounced head and hefty textured balls.  An incredibly realistic cock, not one detail was spared right down to the wrinkled upper shaft.

Johnny Lifelike Dildo

Basic Info :

Material: Silicone.  Vixen also makes Johnny in their skin-like material VixSkin.  This version is firmer, but still body safe all the way.  This one is also a little more wallet friendly.

Length: 7 inches.  It’s not the longest dildo I own.  It’s the girth that makes it the whopper that it is.

Width: 1 13/16 inches.

Color: It only seemed right to choose black for this dildo, but it does come in vanilla, chocolate, caramel and purple.

Johnny took some warming up with a couple of smaller dildos and a whole lot of lube.  At first I was worried that my eyes were bigger than my vagina with this one.  With pretty much zero flexibility or give, you definitely have to work your way up.  Getting past the fat head was a bit of a chore both on entry and exit.  The helmet brim really juts out and creates a ledge effect (the picture doesn’t do this justice). Patience was key in avoiding any discomfort; once I was past this point all was divine.  The slight curve aided in a little g-spot stimulation, but the fulfilled sensation was what made the experience so fantastic.  Johnny gives you that full feeling with very little thrusting required. It’s basically awesome.

Orgasm?  With all of the warming up and magnificent size, it was impossible not to have a seriously intense orgasm.

Johnny is harness compatible.  I didn’t get to test its strap-on-ability because I don’t have an O-ring big enough to accommodate it.  I can’t say if it is good or bad in that department, but I imagine it would look pretty great strapped on.  There would be no question about who was in charge!

I am a fan of Johnny.  It isn’t my dildo of choice for regular use, but I’m glad I have it ready and waiting for those times I’m looking for that filled sensation.  If you prefer small toys, this is not for you.  If you like a more flexible cock, you should definitely go with the VixSkin.  If you are a size queen or just looking for a bit of a challenge, this is the toy for you!

If you’ve never used anything of this size, know that you’ll have to work your way up.  Embrace it and enjoy the journey.  I know I did.

Review: Sqweel

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

The Sqweel by Love Honey is a unique sex toy that is intended to simulate oral sex.  It has a wheel of ten tongues that “lap” your clitoris, or whatever body part you choose to use it on.  The Sqweel is not a vibrator, but it is one pleasure giving motorized sex toy.

Sqweel Oral Sex Simulator

Things you need to know:

Material: The tongues are made from super soft soft silicone.  The casing is made from ABS plastic.

Batteries: Requires 3 AAA batteries, not included.

Multispeed: 3 levels that give you just the right variation.

Noise level: A little on the high side.  Although not enough to stop me from using it, this is my least favorite aspect of the Sqweel.  Loud toys piss me off.  Not that anyone likes them, but I have been known to turn my back on a toy after 5 seconds of super loud buzzing.  Not the case here, but know this is not a discrete toy.

Clean up: Easy.  It can be taken apart so that you can clean the wheel separately.

Storage: It is self contained in that a cap covers the tongues so you can just toss it in a drawer.  It does come in a larger tin container that can be used as well.

The Sqweel’s wheel-o-tongues doesn’t necessarily give you the exact feeling of someone going down on you, but it does deliver a pleasure filled non-vibratory sensation.   It isn’t a toy for a quick O, but it is perfect for when you want to spend some quality time with yourself or your partner.  Applying too much pressure stops the wheel from turning, so it forces you to take your time and not get carried away too quickly.  Sustained is the word that comes to mind.  It is a bit like being in the area that is just before the crest of a wave.

It’s fun to experiment with different angles and stimulation points when playing with the Sqweel.  My favorite was the downward stroke, while I found the upward to be downright irritating.  Not painful, but it is sort of like when someone puts too much sugar in my coffee.  Too much of a good thing.  It’s all about personal preference, but that’s life.

I definitely recommend using plenty of lube with this one so that the flaps glide along your skin rather than slap it.  Enough said.

I had a hard time using a dildo at the same time as the Sqweel.  It was cumbersome and awkward.  I have read other reviews, some stating they had the same issue while other didn’t.  I will have to give this another whirl because I think the Sqweel paired with penetration would be a force to be reckoned with.  Orgasm?  Didn’t happen with this toy, but  I’m not sad about it.

I definitely recommend this toy.  It isn’t just another vibrator and I like that.
