Product Review: Pink Silicone Lubricant For Women

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Pink Silicone Lube is absolutely fabulous!  It is everything it promises to be plus it comes in a super classy glass bottle. Pink Silicone Lubricant

Pink Silicone Lube is glycerin free and does not contain any parabens.  It clearly states on the bottle that it is hypoallergenic and it most certainly is!  I have incredibly sensitive EVERYTHING and at no time – during or after use – did I experience any irritation.  It doesn’t have a scent and has but the slightest bitter taste (hey, I tested it out so you wouldn’t have to).  It is not an oral lube, but if you so choose to get your oral sex on after applying this it would be totally bearable.

Pink Silicone Lube is ultra moisturizing.  I placed one pump on top of my right hand just before bed time.  I rubbed it over my skin and went to sleep.  When I woke up my hand was as soft as silk, especially compared to my left hand.  Yet another perk.

So it is hypoallergenic and makes your skin feel great, but what about its actual purpose?  Well, another A+.  As my Sex Toy Testing Assistant would describe it, “it’s like it’s not even there, but still makes everything smooth”.  That really is the best way to describe it.  It is incredibly light as it helps your body parts and naughty bits glide and slide in, on, over, under and out of everything they are supposed to.  It isn’t sticky at all.  It lasts once applied, but you don’t get that eww feeling on your hand that makes you not want to touch anything.  It washes off with ease.

The glass bottle is classy and feminine.  I love the way it looks just sitting on my night stand.  Not to mention, the pump rocks!  It makes it easy to control the amount of lube that you use.  There is no waist and no goopy mess.  One or two pumps is enough to get the party started and going for a while.

Pink Silicone Lubricant is made from Dimethicone, one the highest grades of silicone.  You know you are getting quality.  However, do not use this or any other silicone lube with silicone sex toys.  It will break them down and you will be very sad that your nice toy is no longer!

Pink Lube is formulated especially for women.  I highly recommend it to everyone, especially women with sensitive naughty bits who prefer a light lube.

Knowledge is Power and Power is Sexy – Silicone Lube

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Ginger’s recent post on Pjur Eros Original got me thinking about one of my favorite things in the world, lube!  Every woman should have a few great bottles that they can rely on.  Oh, and if you’re thinking you don’t need lube, let me just say that everything is better with lube.  Trust me and try it.

gunoilWhen it comes down to what you need to know, there are two types of lube to be considered – water-based and silicone-based.  Today I’m going to talk a little bit about silicone based products for all of you who are curious!

When compared to water-based products, silicone lubricant lasts a lot longer typically and that’s one of the reasons why I really love it.  A dollop of a good product and you’re good to go.  I will admit that they are often a little more expensive, but when you only need a drop or two the costs balance out in the end.

Knowing that, you may wonder why one would even consider anything but silicone lube, but the one thing you have to remember is that silicone lube is not compatible with silicone sex toys.  When combined, it causes the structure of the toy to break down and no one wants to ruin an amazing (and probably pricy) silicone toy.  Because of this, I always have a good water-based bottle on hand when I want to break out my Bandito.

Getting back to the good stuff about it, silicone  lube is a must have if you’re somebody who likes to get wet and wild.  There’s really no other option for playing in the shower or hot tub because water-based lube washes away before you have a chance to even get started!  A good silicone lube will keep everything slick while you slip slide away!

Because it’s long lasting, I really like silicone lubricant for anal play.  I would never recommend butt sex without lubricant, since there’s no natural lubrication it’s a really bad idea.  One of my favorites is Gun Oil – it’s definitely top of the line.  If you don’t believe me, here’s what Sextoys.com’s Bill Turner has to say about it, “Simply the best lubricant I’ve ever used in terms of ease of application, durability and cleanup, which is to say, everything.”

Of course, I want you to be well informed, so here are a few things I think are less than amazing about silicone lube.  First up, they have been known to stain sheets or other fabrics.  Boo.  Secondly, it is noticeably different from a woman’s natural lubrication.  I don’t have an issue with this, but some people might.

In my opinion, the positive aspects of a good silicone lube outweigh the negatives by a mile.  I definitely recommend giving it a shot in the near future!

Featured Products: Pjur Eros Original

There is a reason Pjur Eros Original is one of our Featured Products for Couples.

Unlike water or oil based lubricants, this lube doesn’t absorb into your skin. You won’t find yourself constantly reaching for the bottle to reapply. There is nothing sexy about searching through sheets the right in the middle of your mattress romp session. I know you know what I am talking about here. You try to maintain your position as you feel around with your hands. Then your partner gets involved in the search so you get out of position. Eventually you both get up and turn on the lights, only to find that it was right next to you the entire time.

I say, put a stop to the lube quests and get Pjur Eros Original.

pjurerosorig“Latex and rubber compatible. Use for Latex or rubber shining. Tasteless, odorless, and fragrance-free. Hypo-allergenic. Feels silky and smooth and never dries out. Allows the skin to breathe without blocking pores.”

You can also use this bodyglide during gentle massages. I love that this stuff is multi-purpose and body safe!

When should you not use Pjur Eros Original? During play with silicone toys! Unless you have a vendetta against your silicone toys and want to melt them, do not use this when playing with them! This is lube is silicone based, which never mixes well with silicone toys. Got it?
