Raven’s Triumph of Love
Dear Cupid,
You have wonderful aim. How many times have you shot your arrow into my heart? How could I have been so lucky to love – and be loved in return – by so many good men.OK, there was the odd one that was toxic, but I’ll chalk that up to you trying to teach me a lesson or two about how to appreciate the real thing when you’ve given it to me.
Ah, the one. The only. Because you’ve graced me with love so many times before, you know that I don’t believe there’s just one man for every woman. No, Cupid, you provide the magic, but it’s up to us mere mortals to make it work. I’ve had a few good runs. But this one – the one I’ve got now – he’s got longevity. Just when I think we might be done, you go and shoot your arrow again, and we fall deeper in love than even before. For almost 20 years we’ve loved each other. And things are really starting to sizzle!At the beginning, I had no idea that you’d given me such a wonderful love. After a few bumps in the road, and one heck of a hairpin turn, we’re on a journey of openness, honesty and acceptance. We’re discovering a new dynamic that is bringing us even closer. And, the toys. Let’s not forget the toys. We love the play that they have brought to our bed and how they enhance our desires.
