Luxurious Traditional Vibrators by SinFive

Friday, October 30th, 2009

SinFive.  Sounds dark and delectably sexy, doesn’t it?  It should; the name was inspired by the 5th deadly sin – lust.

Made in Germany, these products are quite elegant and sophisticated.  SinFive products are made from body safe medical grade, specially formulated Thermoplastic that is tested with strict European guide lines.  They are nonporous, Phthalates free and odor free.

You may think of a traditional vibrator as being your mom’s old plastic vibe.  Well, SinFive vibrators were purposely designed to have a contemporary look, are completely waterproof and extremely quiet.  These vibes will more than likely have much longer life spans than the old-school, one speed noise makers.

Nagi: New to the US

The Nagi is on fine example of SinFive’s Vibrators:

“Nagi is soft and silky smooth to the touch, requiring less lubricant as it skims across clitoral and vulvar surfaces.

It glides effortlessly from tender to more intense vibrations, deepening the waters of sensation. At its base, Nagi has a raised mystic symbol to apply textured stimulation as desired. Use the rounded tip and supple, flexible body for deep Shiatsu massage on the spine, neck and shoulders.

Comes with a bonus travel sachet, manual, and a 1-year SINFIVE warranty. (1.6 X 8.3 in., 1.2-1.7 in. diameter)”

Akmeo: Pinpointed pleasure.

The Akmeo is another beautiful vibe that features pinpoint stimulation:

Akmeo makes it easy to pinpoint your desire. When applied externally, this personal pleasure object, with its delicately tailored tip, allows for targeted stimulation of the clitoris.

Upon insertion, the perfect angling of Akmeo makes it easier to find the g-spot on the map of pleasure. Different levels of vibration allow you to customize your exploration in an endless variety of ways. Use the peaked tip for deep Shiatsu massage on the spine, neck, or shoulders to feel an exhilarating release.

Product Review: Pink Silicone Lubricant For Women

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Pink Silicone Lube is absolutely fabulous!  It is everything it promises to be plus it comes in a super classy glass bottle. Pink Silicone Lubricant

Pink Silicone Lube is glycerin free and does not contain any parabens.  It clearly states on the bottle that it is hypoallergenic and it most certainly is!  I have incredibly sensitive EVERYTHING and at no time – during or after use – did I experience any irritation.  It doesn’t have a scent and has but the slightest bitter taste (hey, I tested it out so you wouldn’t have to).  It is not an oral lube, but if you so choose to get your oral sex on after applying this it would be totally bearable.

Pink Silicone Lube is ultra moisturizing.  I placed one pump on top of my right hand just before bed time.  I rubbed it over my skin and went to sleep.  When I woke up my hand was as soft as silk, especially compared to my left hand.  Yet another perk.

So it is hypoallergenic and makes your skin feel great, but what about its actual purpose?  Well, another A+.  As my Sex Toy Testing Assistant would describe it, “it’s like it’s not even there, but still makes everything smooth”.  That really is the best way to describe it.  It is incredibly light as it helps your body parts and naughty bits glide and slide in, on, over, under and out of everything they are supposed to.  It isn’t sticky at all.  It lasts once applied, but you don’t get that eww feeling on your hand that makes you not want to touch anything.  It washes off with ease.

The glass bottle is classy and feminine.  I love the way it looks just sitting on my night stand.  Not to mention, the pump rocks!  It makes it easy to control the amount of lube that you use.  There is no waist and no goopy mess.  One or two pumps is enough to get the party started and going for a while.

Pink Silicone Lubricant is made from Dimethicone, one the highest grades of silicone.  You know you are getting quality.  However, do not use this or any other silicone lube with silicone sex toys.  It will break them down and you will be very sad that your nice toy is no longer!

Pink Lube is formulated especially for women.  I highly recommend it to everyone, especially women with sensitive naughty bits who prefer a light lube.

Anal Sex Part 2: Toys

Monday, October 26th, 2009

So, your fingers have had their fun with the discovery of the anal treasures; booty, if you will.  You still are not quite ready for full on anal sex, but you are ready for the next step: toys.  Butt plugs, anal beads and dildos oh my!  Sex toys are fun all by themselves, but are great for continuing your journey towards butt sex.

Now don’t go all willy nilly and grab the first dildo you see as you head straight for the back door.  As always, safety first and don’t forget what you learned in Part 1. (Click here to move on to Part 3)

Anal Safety First

Anal Sex Toy Safety

As you read in Part 1, have plenty of lube on hand and use lots of it.  Waterbased personal lubricant is a good choice because it plays nicely with all materials.  Look for one that is formulated for anal sex for a more lube-a-riffic time.  Silicone lube eats through silicone toys, plain and simple.

ONLY use anal toys that have a FLARED BASE or a RETRIEVAL CHORD!  There are no exceptions to this rule.  Unless you want a really embarrassing trip to the ER, you’re going to want to follow this one.  Rebel elsewhere.

The flared base ensures that the butt plug or dildo will not enter further into the anus than desired.  By this I mean it won’t disappear inside your butt.  The sphincter muscle is semi-involuntary.  With one random flex, a toy without a flared base can get sucked up and lost inside of your colon.  Yikes!

As with all sex toys, it is best to use nonporous, hypoallergenic, phthalate free toys.  Materials like silicone, aluminum, glass and even wood are safe to use on the body and can be cleaned easily.  Porous materials like jelly hold on to bacteria which can cause problems the next time you use the toy.  If you have a toy you absolutely love that is made out of porous materials, put a condom over it when using!

As with fingernails, smooth or file down and rough seems or edges on the toy.  Even the tiniest bit of sharpness can feel like a razor during anal play.  The lining of the rectum is quite delicate.

Again, never ever ever ever use a toy in, on or around the vagina that was just used for anal play unless you have seriously cleaned it FIRST!  Who likes infections?  Same goes for anal sex!  If you want to travel back and forth between the vagina and anus, put multiple condoms over the toy and remove one before switching to the other play ground.

Lube? Yep. Flared base? Got it.  The right materials?  Yes.  No switching between playgrounds without proper precautions! Okay!

This Silicone Tantus butt plug is great for anal beginners!

Silicone butt plug: great for anal beginners!

Butt Plugs

Butt Plugs are great for moving beyond the fingers while on your journey towards anal sex.  You stick them in and they stay there.  They stretch the anus and give a nice filled feeling.  They can be worn during ply time, intercourse or just while you are washing the dishes or lounging around the house.  They can intensify your orgasm as the muscles tighten around the butt plug and send you straight to the moon.  In addition to a flared base, they generally have a smaller slender “neck” for the anus to hold on to, a wider shaft and then they taper again.  Shapes vary a bit, but the sizes vary a great deal.  Start small and slowly work your way up in size.

Anal Dildos

Anal Dildos are designed specifically for anal play, using flared bases and retrieval mechanisms to facilitate safe anal play.”  You may be asking, “What is the difference between a regular old dildo and an anal dildo?”  Well, some dildos are designed with the shape of the rectum in mind and follow the contours of the back entry way.  Sizes and shapes vary greatly.  However, you can use most dildos anally as long as the flared base is present.  These toys are great for introducing and getting used to the thrusting motion that comes with anal sex, opposed to the butt plug which stays in place.  Start with a dildo that is less than 1 inch in width.  Don’t thrust too deep at first.  Take it easy or you won’t enjoy it and you will never get to the pot of anal gold!  By the way, a set of balls on the dildo does count as a flared base.

Anal Vibrators

Anal vibrators are often anal dildos, probes or butt plugs with a motor.  They may come with a removable bullet so you can choose whether or not you want buzz in your booty.  This also makes cleaning easier.  You don’t have to worry about ruining the vibration mechanism by submersing in water and you can sterilize all of the nooks and crannies.  Vibration can feel wondrous inside of the rear end.  Some like to tease the little back door opening with the vibration before inserting.  The sensation may also transfer to the genitals which many find to be incredibly thrilling.

Anal Beads

Adorable Anal Beads

Adorable Anal Beads

While anal beads may not be considered essential when preparing for anal sex, they are certainly worth the discussion when it comes to anal play.  Anal beads are a set of beads connected by a string, often nylon, or a “stick” made of the same material as the beads themselves.  The beads may graduate in size, or they may all be the same size.  Bead sizes and cord lengths vary.  They are often made from, but not limited to, hard plastic, jelly or silicone.  Beads connected by the stick, especially silicone, are easier to clean and sterilize.  Unwanted bacteria and substances may hold on to a soft cord or porous bead material.  One downfall of the plastic beads is that each bead is usually comprised of two halves stuck together, which in turn gives you a seam: a rough, mean and painful seam!  Avoid them, or file them down.

Here is where the magic happens: Gently insert each bead into the anus at the beginning or midway through your adult play time.  Just before or at the exact moment of orgasm hold on to the end of the string and pull the beads out.  Some prefer a slow gradual pull; others prefer to feel a rapid succession of beads as they exit.  This gives brain melting, leg cramping, tear jerking orgasms to women and men.  Try it.  You will probably love it.

Get your anal play on and explore all of these toys.  You can try them out by yourself and find fun new ways to masturbate.  You can call it solo play time if it makes you feel better about it.   You can also try them with a partner and find new ways to stimulate each other.  Let these adult products work you up to hot anal sex fun, or just enjoy them for what they are.  Anal toys may not be for you, but like mom always said, “How will you know until you try?”

Gigolo II by Fun Factory

Gigolo II by Fun Factory

The Fun Factory Gigolo II Smartvibe vibrator has a texture to die for! It’s soft and very real feeling, has no scent, and has the right amount of firmness for a vibrator.  This is great for clitoral and vaginal play.  The vibe has multiple levels of intensity for great clitty buzz and is capable of g spot stimulation.  The boost button rocks!

It has an element of femininity and makes for a great gift.  It is the perfect blend of toy and realism.  It’s aesthetically appealing and the right size for solo play and partner play.  The only con is that inserting the batteries can be hard to figure out.  This is a great toy, has amazing texture, excellent durability and is perfect for all occasions.  This is a toy that you won’t mind anyone seeing because it’s so freaking cool!

- She got right to the point on this one.  Sounds like a fabulous toy and it will definitely get added to my ever growing Wish List!

Anal Sex Part 1: The Beginning

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Click for Part 2 and Part 3!

Are you anally interested?  Ready to open your back door for business?  Does anal sex excite you and frighten you all at the same time?  Well, I am here to help.

You can’t go “all in” right away.  Warm up is important.  It is a good idea to start with anal play involving lots of lube, fingers and toys.  Calm your eager partner, and remind them this should be and can be enjoyed by the both of you.  Have them read this with you.  Not only will these suggestions get you ready to take the anal plunge, they will add to your adult play time repertoire of activities.

Lube it or lose it.

Awesome waterbased anal lube!

Awesome waterbased anal lube!

Make sure you have a full supply of lube.  Unlike the vagina, the anus does not naturally produce moisture.  If you don’t use a lubricant, you could cause serious damage to your rear end.  You don’t want the word “tear” to be associated with anything that has to do with anal sex.  Ouch!  Waterbased personal lubricant is always a good choice.  It is safe to use with condoms and sex toys (it won’t eat through them).  It does absorb into the skin quickly, so keep it close by so you can reapply with ease.  Some lubes are specially formulated for anal sex and may give you a little more slip.  You can find lots of lube here.

Relax.

Get in a comfortable position that doesn’t require your muscles to do too much work.  Don’t clinch your butt cheeks; this is not the time to get your kegal exercises in.  Breathe continuously and allow your body to let go of any tension.  Tight rectal muscles will only make anal play and anal sex difficult and painful.

Friendly fingers.

Ask any anal aficionado and they will tell you that using a finger is the best way to get acquainted with anal sex.  First of all, the finger-er should wash their hands and the finger-ee should wash their bum.  Be sure to trim your finger nails and file any rough edges.  A sharp nail can easily tear the thin lining of the rectum, even through protective covering. Again, ouch!  To keep things hygienic, you can use a finger cot (finger condom) or a latex glove.  Many ladies out there have latex allergies, therefore latex free nitrile gloves are a great alternative.  Just apply the personal lubricant to the glove or finger condom and you will have a nice satisfying slippery finger to work with.

Start slow!

Massage: intimate and relaxing.

Massage: intimate and relaxing.

Tickle the outside of the anus by gently sliding your finger up and down over the little pucker.  It feels great and helps the rectal muscles to relax.  Since these muscles are semi-involuntary, the opening to the tunnel of mystery and splendor will begin to wink at you.  Eventually, it is time for the finger to gently slide in, still relaxing.  Pay attention to the receiver’s body language.  You will be able to tell if she loves it or if it is uncomfortable.  If not, just ask.  If she isn’t enjoying the use of your finger, she probably won’t enjoy anal sex.  Communicate and ask what could make this anal endeavor better.  If she is loving it, keep up the good work.  Vaginal oral sex in addition to anal play just might make her lose her mind!  Just a suggestion.

If the receiver absolutely does not like it they should absolutely stand their ground and the giver should absolutely not push it!

Never ever ever ever go from the anus to the vagina without washing your hands, toy or penis first!  Even if you washed your hands before play time, wash them again before moving on to the vagina.  Not doing so can and will likely cause infection and irritation.  You have been warned!

Now you are off to a good start.  Lube up, trim up, wash up and enjoy your first anal journey.  Come back next week and we shall discuss fun toys like butt plugs and anal dildos.  Anal sex shall be yours to behold!

Toy Review: Mary Mermaid

Thursday, October 15th, 2009
Mary Mermaid by Fun Factory

Mary Mermaid by Fun Factory

The Mary Mermaid vibrator was oh so ethereal and inviting.  I brought her home and had just enough time to open her up, insert the 4 AA batteries with ease and fidget with her for just a few moments.  I had to run out the door and attend dinner with friends.  All the while I was thinking about my raspberry colored mermaid who was ready and waiting for me to play with her.  Needless to say, I made a bee line for the bedroom as soon as I got home.

The Mary Mermaid by Fun Factory is part of their Twist’N'Shake series.  Made of 100% body safe silicone, it has a beautiful flowing design and is easy to operate.  She is a rabbit-esque vibrator and boasts 2 motors – one for the clit stimulating tail and one for the shaft, which twists and holds the rotating pearls.

The easy to use control pad consists of a power button, a shaft controller and a tail (clit stimulator) control.  Since the internal and clitoral stimulation functions are independently controlled, you can have as little or as much stimulation of one or the other at the same time.  You can turn her off with one push of the button in case of emergency.

Upon using the Mary Mermaid, I was wishing there was a bit more power coming from both the vibrating tail and the rotating shaft.  I don’t require super intense buzz, but at the highest setting I still wasn’t quite getting what I needed from a vibrator.  The pearls in the shaft weren’t quite stimulating my internal fun zones enough to make up for the week outer vroom.  I gave her a go for a few minutes, adjusting the controls and adding the waterbased lube.  I eventually decided to switch to my favorite vibrator: my Laya Spot, also by Fun Factory.

While the Mary Mermaid didn’t take me to the depths of an orgasmic ocean, Fun Factory’s Laya Spot came through and took me right where I needed to be.  The Mary Mermaid wasn’t quite powerful enough for me, but may be good for those who like medium sized toys with low intensity.  Since this was one of the first toys on my Wish List, I was a little bummed.  However, this experience didn’t taint my love for Fun Factory!  I will continue to lovingly use my Laya Spot and play with other awesome Fun Factory Toys.

THE Pleasure Organ: The Clitoris

Monday, October 5th, 2009

The Clitoris: As delicate as a lotus flower.

The Clitoris: As delicate as a lotus flower.

The Experts at the Sextoys . com blog have given a lot of attention to the g-spot.  It was well deserved and my g-spot and I have a great relationship. However, I thought it might be nice to chat a little about the always reliable clitoris.

Freud stated that the clitoral orgasm was something that women grew out of once they hit a certain time in their life, and would move on to internal orgasms only.  Wrong.  Women of all ages are still having them whether it is during solo or mutual masturbation, oral stimulation, intercourse or any other means of satisfaction

What is the clitoris and where can I find it?

In short, the clitoris is essentially an organ that contains a bundle of nerve endings and is made up of erectile tissue.  When stimulated properly, it can provide a woman with tremendous amounts of pleasure.  The part that most people are familiar with is the little “button” called the clitoral head or glans clitoris.  It is located where the labia minora, or inner lips, meet and is generally hidden to some extent by the clitoral hood.  Following it further into the body you will find the shaft, which can grow from an unexcited 1 inch to 2 inches when the party gets started.

All women and their genitalia are special and unique snowflakes.  The little man in the boat may be slightly exposed before arousal or you may barely ever see it at all.  The average size, the part you see anyway, is smaller than your pinky nail, but again, size varies and that is perfectly okay!  When aroused, the tissue fills with blood, the goods are engorged and the little pea becomes even more hidden by the hood.  Why is this?  Because direct clitoral stimulation can be painful or annoying.  Indirect stimulation is usually the way to go.  Remember this!  The body knows what it is doing.  Some women do enjoy targeted diddling, so pay attention to her body language communicate!

The clitoris doesn’t stop there.  The network of nerves may extend 4 inches into the body, depending on who you ask.  Branching from the shaft are two legs that lie on either side of the vagina.  They too swell when excited. One could travel much further into the land of exploring all of the aspects and scientific names of the parts of the clitoris.  For now, I think you have a good basic understanding.  The understanding that the clit isn’t just some little pebble in the northern region of the vulva.  Also, the clitoris may or may not be responsible for that thing we all love or hope to love one day, the g-spot orgasm

The Nea will make your clitoris very happy.

The Nea will make your clitoris very happy.

Some say that the clitoris is the female equivalent of the penis.  I say the penis is the male equivalent of the clitoris.  Both have an abundance of nerve endings, both become erect when excited and the foreskin is linked to the clitoral hood.  What makes the clitoris unique?  It is the only known organ whose sole purpose is pleasure!  That’s right; it is simply there to make you feel good.  So ladies, if you have yet to experience an orgasm, or pleasure for that matter, explore your clitoris!  It is ready and waiting for you.

Soon enough we shall revisit the clitoris and all the joy that it has to offer.  For now, visit our vibrator section that contains many products that could make your clit very happy.

Support the Boobs During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Did that get your attention?  Good.  Save The Boobs was an advertisement for the Boobyball 8 in support of Rethink Breast Cancer.  Go to their web sites, find out what they are about and how you can get involved.  There is no time like the present, especially when October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

On a more serious note, three people in my life have been affected by breast cancer.  Two of which were survivors who underwent mastectomies.  The other was overtaken by the disease after a mastectomy, years of treatment and putting up one hardcore fight.  These events were eye opening, although you and/or someone you know has probably had similar experiences.

After witnessing just the beginning stages of what my loved ones had to go through, I began to pay closer attention to my body.  This also happens to be a focus of Rethink Breast Cancer: get to know your breasts.  Ladies, I encourage you to do this and to encourage your friends, partners and family members to do this.  Visit your doctor even after the first symptom. Guys, the same goes for you!  Let your gal know how much your love her beautiful boobies and how much she should love them too.  Words and actions go further than a pink bracelet ever could.

The Experts at Sextoys.com support Breast Cancer Awareness.
