Venetian Masks: Not Just For Tom Cruise
You know, from Eyes Wide Shut. Remember? I know many people had mixed feelings about that movie, but you can’t tell me that the ceremonial orgy scene wasn’t hot. High society and beautiful women: dark secrets and serious self gratification material.
This isn’t a movie review, so I am going to focus and tell you and about the Venetian Style Masks that I discovered on Sextoys.com. Originally, the masks were worn during Carnevale in Venice. Much like in the movie, Venetian Masks were also worn by individuals with high social ranking who wanted to conceal their identities. This was often the case when it came to love affairs, unlawful behavior and any frowned upon activity.
This is also not a history lesson. I realize that may come as a surprise. Regardless of your social status, masks can be worn for fun as part of a costume, or for a little role playing. Ladies, add your favorite dress or lingerie and have your own ball in the bedroom.
The Venetian Style Mask with Smile: Wear it when you are up to absolutely no good and everyone will know it.
Cat Mask with Faux Fur: Wear it when you want to be a bad kitty. This is also a nice base to add your own personal touch to.
Long Nosed Venetian Mask: This is my favorite of all of the masks. It looks like something from a bad dream, which for some reason draws me to it.
“This Venetian style mask is decadent and bizarre. This mask is crafted out of durable plastic and is held to your head using a felt headband.
The traditional name for this mask is the Medico Della Peste, or The Plague Doctor. In history, Venetian masks were often worn to conceal identity. Wear them to a costume party or ball with your favorite costume or nothing at all!
It’s painted a luxurious gold, red and black. The nose extends out 8 inches from the face.”
Go ahead and play dress up even when it is not Halloween. I do it often.
